Did You Know?
In the early 2000's, Honda took their well known line of two-stroke 'CR' dirt bikes and started making them in a four-stroke version, the CRF’s. They were so popular that Honda also manufactured them with different option packages to suit the needs of their varied consumer base.
The “X” model is well known as a great “woods” bike. With its superb gearing, large capacity gas tank, softer suspension, liquid cooled engine, and headlight, the CRF250X is a great bike to go tear up even the most demanding trails.
The “R” or “Race” version is built specifically for track performance, in fact the CRF450R is more than 20 pounds lighter than the CRF450X. The higher compression engine in the “R” model coupled with its close-ratio five speed transmission gives this machine incredible take-off torque that few bikes have.
